Rheological Analysis and Pump Testing

FELUWA provides for the analysis and quantification of hydrotransport equipment from the agitator to the discharge of the pipeline. Rheological analysis and pump tests that are required for hydrotransport applications are carried out in FELUWA’s technical centre that is especially equipped for these duties.

Pumping of heterogeneous mixtures and fluids containing coarse contaminations
as well as high densities calls for custom-tailored solutions to ensure permanently trouble-free operation.

For the handling of fluids with rather high entrained gases, MULTISAFE® double hose-diaphragm pumps are provided with so-called dead space reducing cylinders, which are fitted to the inside of the hose-diaphragm.

Utilisation of hermetically sealed and low-maintenance pumps is vital when pumping aggressive and toxic fluids.

Efficiency even at extreme pumping temperatures

Generally, elastomer hose-diaphragms are applied for temperatures up to 130 °C. For higher pumping temperatures of < 200 °C the use of PTFE mixtures has proven successful. These have especially been developed for the utilization with hose-diaphragm pumps and are likewise specified to handle conveyed fluids of particularly high corrosiveness.

Pumps in aseptic process technology have to provide maximum cleanliness and biological safety. FELUWA MULTISAFE® double hose-diaphragm process pumps in aseptic design meet the necessary purity criteria and FDA regulations in terms of fluid wetted materials. Designs with EHDG, 3A conformity are available upon request.
